Update to Civic Center Exterior Painting Project
Contractors removed the Cypress trees from the property last month, near the City Council Chambers. This began the first stage of the Civic Center Exterior Painting Project.

Over the next 4 weeks (approximately), various crews will be working to clean and repaint the building. Please be careful as you enter and exit the building during this time. The location of the work will shift daily as the project progresses.

The work will normally be completed during business hours but will include a few Saturdays as to not impede any Civic Center entrances. Please use caution when walking around the area and pay attention to any posted signage. Our contractors will be doing their best to keep all entrances accessible during the entire project however, advance notice will be given if this changes.

The removal of the six cypress trees from the west side of the Civic Center is due to ongoing damage to the facility’s paint. In addition, the trees made an ongoing mess in the Town Square and the trees have started to be used by various individuals as storage and sleeping quarters.
