City Manager Dominick Casey today announced the appointment of Mike Isom as Development Services Director. Isom has 18 years of experience with the City of Roseville, serving most recently as its Acting Development Services Director for the past six months and previously as Development Services Manager for three years.
Isom joined the City in 2000 as an Assistant Planner and has held positions in the Planning Department, City Manager’s office, and Development Services Department.
“Mike’s experience and depth of knowledge about the Roseville community, land use planning, and development processes will ensure continuity as the city continues to grow,” said Casey.
As Development Services Director, Isom will oversee an annual budget of $10.5 million and a staff of 81 providing services in current and long-range planning, GIS and development-related data maintenance, building inspection, plan review, permit processing, front counter operations, engineering, and code enforcement.
Isom co-authored the City’s economic development strategy in 2012 and has advanced City initiatives including the Higher Education Task Force, operational performance assessments of City departments, and executive oversight of the City’s Enterprise GIS.
He served as project manager for construction of the 316 Vernon Street office building and successfully negotiated the lease to bring Sierra College to Downtown Roseville. Isom has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners since 2008.
