As the year comes to a close, make sure you are checking your leave balances on your timesheet or paystub. Some things to check out are holiday hours, Personal Leave Time (PLT), and if you are in Management, Management Leave.
All of these leaves must be used or paid off by December 31st. In 2017, around 100 employees lost out on some of their holiday hours so plan accordingly.
In order to cash out any of your eligible leave balances, simply enter the pay code of the leave you are requesting that includes “Payoff” at the end on your timecard with the number of hours you’d like to cash out. See example below:
Refer to your MOU to see what benefits are available to you. While you are checking your leave balances in employee online, also make sure your address is correct for the W-2, 1095-c and 1094-c mailings in February.
