Public Works employees took a breather on Wednesday to enjoy the department’s annual Employee Appreciation Barbecue. The senior managers set up the food, staffed the grill, and served the entire staff as their way of saying “thank you for being a great team and doing such a consistently solid job!”

The employees sat back, laughing, and eating in the shade of the trees at the Corporation Yard. The feast consisted of coleslaw, baked beans, chicken, Tri-Tip, cookies, and chips. This was the fourth year the employees have been treated to this barbecue. The gathering was scheduled in proximity to National Public Works Week.
