Updates underway in the Oak Street Parking Garage

Updated April 23, 2020
Adding a protective coating to the top floor

The top floor of the Oak Street Parking Garage will receive a weather protectant treatment to reduce long-term maintenance costs. The coating is similar to what’s used to protect bridges from the elements.

Work will occur for approximately 30 days beginning on Tuesday, April 28. Working hours are weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The seventh floor of the Oak Street Parking Garage will be closed to the public during construction. The sixth floor will be closed intermittently. During this time, please choose another parking location. The rest of the garage will remain open.

As the treatment is applied, you can expect noise and a slight odor in the vicinity.

Installing City vehicle EV charging stations

New electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are being installed on the fifth floor of the Oak Street Parking Garage.

These stations will allow for the charging of City electric vehicles. Each vehicle will be assigned a card key which will allow you to activate the EV charger. Stations won't be available for public use.

Watch for future announcements of more City EV charging locations.
