Consult a Certified Financial Planner
There are many benefits your ICMA-RC/Roseville Deferred Comp plans. One of these benefits is free access to a Certified Financial Planner. This offering is different from the monthly meetings with the City’s ICMA Representative.

Two free, group financial-planning classes with a financial planner are scheduled in the Council Chambers on Wednesday, July 10.

Retirement Savings Drawdown (10-11 a.m.) - You’ve planned, you’ve saved, now what? You may need to draw down your savings to meet ongoing and periodic expenses over many years, while also providing for loved ones. Many uncertainties exist, yet you don’t want to over or underspend. We’ll learn about distribution strategies commonly used for retirement savings.

Estate Planning for Everyone – Key Documents (11 a.m. to noon) - Estate planning is not just for the wealthy. It’s about ensuring your assets go to whom and when you want; protecting and controlling assets if you become incapacitated; and clearly communicating your opinions and decisions in order to minimize confusion, stress, and fighting among loved ones. You can build an effective estate plan around some key documents.

Register for an individual appointment on July 10 if you would like to discuss any financial topics with a financial planner including, but not limited to, your 457/401 account. Listed below are 3 worksheets that you will need to complete if you would like a written retirement generated through the individual meeting:

Net-worth
Cash-flow
Recommended financial planning documents

Spouses are always encouraged to attend. The financial planner is able to review any investment accounts held in their name, as well as advise on other retirement benefits and strategies.

Individual scheduled consultations will be held in Civic Center Meeting Room #1.
