Keeping you safe at work

Updated February 05, 2020

Our Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Committee has been working to develop a more concise and clear Injury & Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP).

As you may recall when you were newly hired, the IIPP was part of your employee New Hire Credential in RoseU (Target Solutions).  Our prior IIPP was a 107 page document. Our new IIPP has been condensed into 14 pages, summarizing roles, responsibilities, and procedures, into a much more understandable and clear procedure.

We have also developed computer based training (CBT) to aid alongside the updated IIPP.  As such, we are assigning a new credential within RoseU, which will include the new IIPP CBT and Plan document.  You will have 60 days to complete both sections of the credential.

The IIPP demonstrates that the city is committed to maintaining a workplace free from health and safety hazards, promoting safe working practices, and complying with all applicable federal, state and City safety requirements. Employee and public safety are paramount to our success as an organization.

For employees without regular access to computers, your supervisor will setup a tailgate session to review the new IIPP.  You must complete either the computer based training or the tailgate session with your team to fulfill your training requirement. The training takes around 15 minutes to complete.

You can access the updated IIPP, as well as training documents (Tailgate & sign in sheet) by visiting the Injury & Illness Prevention Plan page on the Hub.  You may also access the IIPP here; or by logging into RoseU and searching the File Center > City of Roseville Enterprise > searching “Injury” as illustrated below.

Please contact  Jennifer Lane (x5216) or Dave Rawe (x5207) in Human Resources/Risk Management if you have any questions or concerns.
